Here we are from 9/11-20/23 -- Our travels from Connell, Washington through Glendive, Montana Before we left, we visited Gloria's sister Kim. Her pittie was the SPITTIN' IMAGE of my dear departed Molly-girl.... My new coffee cup -- Pretty funny Pretty view from Connell, WA - The local High School baseball field These brass figures are all over "downtown" Connell And... And... And... Rest stop getting pretty close to Butte, Montana Out on a scooter ride 9/16/23. The views of Butte, Montana are spectacular from the hills above (north of) the city Just another Butte is proud to call itself "The Richest Hill on Earth" - And it may be (or have been). I think the copper mining here stoped a number of years ago but the shafts and related equipment to operate it still sit on top of the butte. Further This was a pretty incredible place to stand and just reflect. Zoom in on this if you can and read these last letters a miner was writing to his beloved. There are numerous of these re-created in brass here. I think the dating of "/17" must be 1917. A look at the sprawl of the mining area to the West We went karaoke-in' (of course! The first of MANY we expect) on Saturday night at "Party Palace" in downtown Butte. We met 6-8 folks (as always!) and sang about 7 songs each. The rotation was really small at first -- only about 4-5 singers... That helped. We got decent reviews from comrades!! Took a scooter ride on Tuesday, 9/19/23 out to Makoshika State Park, just outside of Glendive, Montana. Incredible views! Another view Some info about the park.
